About: I have been working in animal welfare for about 5 years. My background comes from the Animal Shelter world. While working for 2 local shelters as a Kennel Attendant than a Animal Care Specialist and now working at a pet hospital as a Client Service Representative. In this new roll, I've found myself missing the responsibility of caring for animals in need. Between long work hours, extended weekends, a new puppy or kitten, or a pet that just needs that extra time outside or quality time, that is where I'd come in! I'd like to offer the community daily in-house check in visits and or walking sessions for up to 2x daily in 46725 area or 1x daily in the surrounding areas! Tasks included in the check in visits consist of bathroom breaks, administering medications if needed, feeding/providing treats, fresh water given, quality time spend inside and outside (whether permitted), disposal of wastes. For 60 minute check in visits a short walk is included! During my time working at the animal shelters I had the opportunity to engage and learn about the essential care of kitten to senior stages of life in cats, as well as puppies to senior dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, small reptiles and so much more you probably wouldn't think would show up at a shelter! I also became a foster for kittens and a puppy for a short period, which was a pleasure of doing. #fosteringsaveslives I was lucky enough to be able to learn so much about feline and canine behavior and how to incorporate that into my daily care of these pets and seeing how much of a difference it makes by understanding their body language. l am also familiar with the uses of pharmaceutics, as well as administrating orally and by injection. I am Fear Free Shelter Certified, as well as a Fear Free Certified Professional. Meaning, I make sure all my animal handling and movements are fear and stress free to the best of my knowledge. I hope to be able to take care for your furry family member soon! 🐾 Availability: Tuesday's, Saturday's, Sunday's I currently work full time, making my availability limited during the week. I would like to build enough daily clientele, that way I can make pet care a primarily part time focus. I'm currently not offering pet boarding/day care services in my home due to having the responsibility of 5 fur babies of my own. While caring for your pet in your home, I will treat your furry family member(s), your home, and your belongings with the upmost respect. By following any sort of restrictions, being mindful of your time, understanding the needs of each individual pet and knowing your needs as an owner and requirements/standards you expect from a pet sitter.
11. Franki D.
“Frankie is great! We did a meet and greet, one let out for the girls, and two future stays booked! Very happy and would highly recommend!”
12. Jennifer A.
“Jennifer was amazing with my two cats. My cats have very different personalities, one is extremely outgoing and friendly, and the other is sweet but very shy. She worked with both to make sure they were healthy and taken care of without making my shy girl too nervous. And she provided plenty of photos!”
13. Jena C.
“Jena was wonderful. She kept us updated on our 3 dogs. Unfortunately, all of them lived. Was hoping for a casualty or two, but no such luck. All kidding aside Jena was great. Would highly recommend her to anyone in the Columbia City area.”
14. Lori L.
“Who better to care for your special 4 legged friend than an above and beyond dog mom herself. I know first hand that Lori’s fur child is her pride and joy and am confident that she will treat your babe with the same love and attentiveness.”

About: I have always had animals in my life all shapes, and sizes all species and breeds. I have had dogs, cats, birds, squirrels, rabbits, guinea pigs, rats, fish, gerbils, racoons I have helped take care of horses, and cows and chickens. I have watched and cared for so many animals in my life and I love every min of it. I am currently a kennel supervisor, doggy daycare attendant, and a petcare specialist at a pet boarding facility in fort wayne. I truly love my job and all our clients that i deal with everyday. I couldn't be happier than I am right now working with animals. I am also a wildlife rehabilitator I have always dreamt of doing what I'm doing right now. Taking care of animals isn't what I do it's who I am. I work with and around animals everyday either here at home with my 5 dogs, 3 cats, 3 coons, and 2 squirrels or at Work. If at your home I will care for them the only way I know how to like they were my own. I will strive to make them the happiest furbabies while your away. I can't wait to be able to spoil your furbaby till you return home.
16. Jenny D.
“Jenny has taken care of our dog and cat at various times for the past several years but I have known her for much longer than that. She is a responsible, reliable and caring individual. She has helped us with coming to walk the dog as needed but has also stayed at our house on several occasions from one night to over 10 days. She keeps me posted on how the animals are doing, texts if she has questions and has, on occasion, stayed longer than originally expected because of delays on our end. She's terrific with our animals and someone I know I can count on to do what she commits to.”
17. Alexandria A.
“Alexandria has been watching my dogs for many months now and always takes great care of them. She’s always available to watch which is good for my very busy schedule.”

19. Abbigail V.
About: I have lived with a mix of both small and large dogs my entire life. I grew up with a Labrador retriever, pugs, Jack Russell terrier, chihuahuas, and a Basenji. I studied Animal Sciences in my undergrad so I have a lot of hands on experience from there. Your dog will get lots of walks, cuddles, and play time. I currently have a dog named Bernadette. She is a border collie/boxer/heeler mix so she has a ton of energy! She does well with all ages of dogs and honestly either wants to play or cuddle. I welcome all ages and breeds! Please reach out with any questions you may have. I know how important it is to find a reliable sitter. I’m here to make you and your fur babies feel as comfortable as possible! I’m currently only offering in home visits and dog walking. I prefer to only do drop in visits twice a day, but if you’re in close proximity I can drop in three times/day. However you take care of your animals in your home, I will do the same. During drop in visits I love to give your pets lots of attention/make sure they get in some play time if they enjoy that.
20. Abigail M.
“Abby is one of the kindest people you will ever have the privilege to meet. She is hard working, dedicated to whatever task she is given, and is always on time. Abby has watched our dog and her brother numerous times, as well as other dogs for other family members. She celebrated their birthday and even put them in party hats and made them feel special. Abby has stayed with the dogs overnight, fed them, walked them, played with them, etc. We have recommended Abby to all of our family and friends, who have then recommended her to their family and friends. We would recommend Abby to anyone with a pet!”
